I am so lucky to be surrounded by fantastic people in a community called Heart and Parcel. I never imagined that I would have friends who always motivate me to keep writing a blog. I know it is a voluntary job, but I feel that the teachers tirelessly dedicate their time and energy to share their knowledge with others, particularly with me, whose English is not my native language.
I still clearly remember the first time I met this community. It was around 15 months ago when my PhD supervisor sent me the link to this community. I truly understand the reason why she asked me to join this learning centre. She wanted me to improve my writing skills and gain new knowledge and friendships.
A few weeks after joining the session, I wrote the first draft of my blog. I was so surprised by the detailed feedback I received from the teacher. Reading my writing, I understood that there were still many things that needed improvement. I kept revising my writing draft, and finally, it was published. I was so happy to read my writing uploaded on Heart and Parcel’s web. I directly forwarded the link to my writing to my supervisor, and she was so proud of me. She planned to visit Bali someday. I also shared my first blog writing with colleagues, hoping that it would introduce them to Indonesian culture, particularly Bali. Although I still wrote one blog in this community, I will keep joining and learning in this society. Thank you so much, good people. You are awesome.
